This one took me a while, I have climbed it on numerous occasions, been up twice with the camera for the sole purpose of finding that spot or view but still nothing.

Then I rode the Dukes Weekender HC in 2019, at late notice for kicks. I had a rubbish year fitness wise, on and off the bike all year for many reasons but that day I almost felt strong again. I was just behind my PB, set a few years before, but I had emptied myself. I rolled back down to the hairpins for a beer, and as the sun set the actual talent came by, bringing with it the inspiration for this image. I had came 20th but was still a whole 1m19s behind the new flying Scotsman, John Archibald.

My art prints have been hand drawn and digitally painted in my Glasgow studio. They been created and inspired by my riding and my passion for cycling.
